Resource Information
La De Da is a local decorating company that came and did our May/Tuesday program. If you did not get a chance to see the sample books go to their website and look at their photo gallery. You will be impressed at how they make a room beautiful! http://ladedaevents.com
If you click on the last page (page 55, I think), it will bring up the
patterns on that page. Then at the bottom of the page, select next page and
it will take you to page 54, etc. An easy way to glance at all the designs.
If you click on a specific design, you get instructions for it.
From Tammy Connolly:
For those of you looking for acid-free plastic bags to store old patterns, photos, newspaper clippings, etc. Go to http://www.papermart.com . Paper Mart sells polyurethane bags in various sizes, styles (zip top, open, etc) and thicknesses at a very reasonable price compared to similar companies. They sell in bulk, so you may want to get a couple of others to go in on an order. They assured me that the polyethylene bags are acid-free, but you might email them about any other products that you might need, because they don't specify products as acid-free on the website. They were very quick to answer my email and helpful in offering suggestions about the right bag for my needs. They also carry boxes, gift wrap, and party, floral and wedding supplies, among other things.
The Learning Channel (TLC) is airing a new
program this Friday called "Ive Got Nothing To Wear". It's about young
and up-coming designers going into people's closets and re-sewing their
existing clothes into new stuff. (Channel 33 on our local Time Warner cable)
What Not To Wear - In our June program this was the main topic.
This is also on the learning channel.
