WORKSHOP
Step-by-Step Blueprint to Creating Wearable Art

WED., JAN. 28        9 am - 4 pm
THURS., JAN. 29    9 am - 4 pm
$40 member / $50 non-member + $25 Kit fee

Limited to 20 students each day!
Sign up early!!  Includes lunch

Similar to a college art course, Bobbi will start the day by reviewing the elements of design - Line,
Planes, Texture, Motif, Pattern, etc. - and suggestions for combining them gracefully.

After each element is defined, you will experiment with its design possibilities using a variety of
techniques for creating your own fabric.

You'll explore stamping, stenciling, resists, drawing with markers and paint sticks, foiling,
using discharge paste, spray mists, and over-dying - all in the context of good design.

The design process will include step-by-step instructions and a variety of mock-ups until you
are satisfied with your design.  After exploring the possibilities and making a wide variety of samples,
you'll use the techniques to create your fabric for a rayon shawl.
